Luca Bassanese & Tarantella Circus Orchestra (Puglia, Italy)
Luca Bassanese & Tarantella Circus Orchestra presents for 2014 a unique show of its kind, a mix of tarantella and popular music of southern Italy with unbridled rhythms and electrobalkan influences.
A concert for who have hearts and legs trained, where the public finds himself catapulted into an incredible circus, made of joy, songs, poetry and want to dance. A project born on stage at the “Cabaret Sauvage” in Paris by the union of pizzica, tarantella and electro-balkan musicians, together with the theatrical songwriter and performer Luca Bassanese, under the artistic direction of composer and producer Stefano Florio.
The interpreter and composer Luca Bassanese is one of the most representatives of the new pop(ular) Italian music. His writings, of poetry and satire, denounced in a completely original way the contradictions of a country, Italy, which seems to have lost his mind.

They say about him: "Luca Bassanese is not only an author and a prolific, imaginative interpreter, but a subversive artist who tries to subvert the obvious words within words, the dull in looks, the fake thoughts, so to release energies and passions and give a voice to what is still genuine and free. Histrionic narrator, able to go beyond a predetermined pattern or style , giving us new and unusual visions of an interior and exterior world, where not everything is always as it appears, Luca Bassanese is an artist who is not content to write or sing, but is constantly looking for new suggestions - sounds, images , voices , stories - to help him explore the world and penetrate the gray bark. Bassanese, with its multi-faceted work, is searching to pierce the veil of indifference and laziness that dims our eyes to help us find new grounds of wonder and beauty".
