MARE CHIUSO
MAURIZIO CAMARDI and MAURO PALMAS
The Mediterranean is the protagonist of this new artistic project of Maurizio Camardi and Mauro Palmas, who have decided to fix in a cd a clear route composed of many 'musical paintings' that speaks about the colors of the heart of two artists who love their land, but also the sounds of the sea.
The Mediterranean Sea as a Closed Sea (the name of the project, in Italian language ‘Mare Chiuso’) preserving a wealth of music, letting it flow through the extraordinary cultures that surround it. Colors in which Camardi and Palmas love to recognize, talk about, meet again, and that indicate with a light well-defined traces of their long artistic journey, from the center to the sea, and beyond through stunning scenery. Songs that evoke Mediterranean sounds, which draw from the magnetic force of the earth and the nearby ancient Sardinian influences, Arabic, Spanish, Sicilian, Venetian, Balkans.
