Rondeau de Fauvel (Italy)
The Rondeau de Fauvel resume the musical Breton traditions and Minnesänger traditions of Middle Ages, and they play it in a new way, mixed with appealing and exceptionally magnetic sounds. The Rondeau de Fauvel’s performance will bring the viewers into an antique world, but in the same time extremely addictive.
Fauvel is a mythological creature whose story is told in a satirical poem of 1316 and whose name is an acrostic of the worst vices were present in the courts. The audience will travel across medieval Europe lands, listening sounds and traditions from everywhere played with old instruments like celtic harp, lute, and the bagpipes, but also with modern instruments like electric bass, drums and synthesizers.
